WishGivers.org Challenges 1,000,000 Americans to Thank-A-Hero on July 4th
Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 03, 2013 -- “They run into burning buildings to rescue people, dodge bullets and defend our freedoms every day. July 4th seems like the perfect time to thank our heroes,” said Tamara Lowe, who has organized an online campaign at Thank-A-Hero.com to do just that.
Lowe, who is married to a retired NYC fireman and 9/11 first-responder, is the co-founder of WishGivers, a nonprofit children’s charity that helps the critically ill kids of America’s military, police and firefighters.
Lowe is challenging one million Americans to participate in the Thank-A-Hero campaign at Thank-A-Hero.com or WishGivers.org. Simply write a heartfelt “Thank You” and WishGivers will deliver your messages of gratitude to the firefighters, police and military personnel their charity serves.
“It couldn’t come at a better time either,” said Lowe. “While other families are enjoying fireworks and BBQs, the families we help are spending their holiday weekend in children’s hospitals across the country. They could use a word of encouragement.”
