WISPA Elects New Officers and Board Members
Bluffton, IN (PRWEB) August 12, 2013 -- The Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA), a membership organization that promotes the development, advancement and unity of the wireless Internet Service Provider industry, WISPA is pleased to announce that Chuck Hogg of Shelby Broadband in Simpsonville, Kentucky has been elected President of the association. Other officers elected by the Board are Vice President Nathan Stooke of Wisper ISP, Inc. in Southern Illinois, Treasurer Alex Phillips of Highspeedlink in Harrisonburg, Virginia and Secretary Larry Schriver of Country Connections in Washington Court House, Ohio.
"I am honored to serve as WISPA's President and look forward to working with an outstanding group of Board members as WISPA continues to grow," said Hogg. "As a Board member for the past two years, I know that we have many challenges and opportunities, and I appreciate the confidence and support our members and Board have given to me."
In passing the gavel to Mr. Hogg, Elizabeth Bowles, immediate past President of WISPA, said, "Chuck has distinguished himself as an energetic, thoughtful, and passionate member of our Board, and I have no doubt that he possesses the leadership skills necessary to help move our organization forward. As owner of a WISP that operates in a rural market, Chuck understands our industry and its needs, and he will be an ardent supporter for our causes."
In addition to Ms. Bowles and the officers, Board members include Forbes Mercy and newcomers Steve Barnes, Jeff Broadwick and Mark Radabaugh.
