Jacksonville, Florida (PRWEB) March 11, 2014 -- Michael D. Aubin, Wolfson Children’s Hospital President, is pleased to announce that Mark A. Frisch and Menla English (MeMe) Hulsey have joined the Wolfson Children’s Hospital Board of Directors.
Frisch is executive vice president of Beaver Street Fisheries, Inc., his family’s business, which he joined in 2003. He is also the owner and CEO of Sunshine Soccer Group, a group he founded to help bring professional soccer back to Jacksonville. Frisch’s efforts proved successful in July of 2013 when the North American Soccer League awarded the 2015 expansion team to Jacksonville.
A native of Jacksonville and a graduate of the University of Florida, Frisch is involved in a number of community organizations. He is currently on the Board of Trustees for Jacksonville University and the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce. In 2010, Mr. Frisch was a recipient of the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award.
“Mark Frisch’s ability to excel in both his business and community endeavors make him a perfect addition to our Board of Directors at Wolfson Children’s Hospital,” said Aubin. “His business insight and thorough understanding of the importance of community relationships will be of great value to the future of our regional children’s hospital.”
Mrs. Hulsey is a native of Cordele, Ga., and Roswell, Ga. She has lived in Brunswick and the Golden Isles since 1996, and became a passionate supporter of Wolfson Children’s Hospital when her son Ben was diagnosed prenatally with a severe and rare congenital heart defect.
MeMe and her husband, Mike Hulsey, have four sons and she currently enjoys her role as a stay-at-home mother. Previously, Mrs. Hulsey served as director of Institutional Advancement for Coastal Georgia Community College and the Foundation. Prior to that, she served as assistant vice president and director of Marketing and Public Relations for First Georgia Bank and United Community Banks.
Mrs. Hulsey has served in leadership roles for a number of community organizations, including the American Cancer Society Victory Board, United Way and Safe Harbor. She currently serves as PTA Co-President for C.B. Greer Elementary School and is an active volunteer for Glynn Middle School. Mrs. Hulsey is a member of, and serves on, the vestry for St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
