Wolseley Inc Chooses PM3 and PM3 Time for its Portfolio of Projects
(PRWEB UK) 10 July 2015 -- Bestoutcome, the leading project portfolio management (PPM) software company, is pleased to announce the rollout of its PM3 project portfolio management tool and PM3time time management tool by Wolseley Inc in Canada.
“We first became aware of Bestoutcome by discovering their (free) Change Readiness Assessor app on the Web. Their focus on Business Outcomes is exactly the way we work, so when we saw their portfolio management and time recording tools, it felt like a great fit for Wolseley,” says Michelle Krupa, IT PMO lead at Wolseley Inc.
Following a successful trial of both tools, Wolseley is now gradually rolling out PM3 and PM3time to its project communities. Michelle explained, "We find the tools very intuitive to use, and needed just a couple of hours of interactive web-based training from Bestoutcome to get us going.”
David Walton, CEO of Bestoutcome, says, “It has been fascinating to bring a new client on-stream without ever meeting face-to-face. Wolseley had a very clear idea of what they needed to support their ways-of-working, and we were able to help them quickly configure the tools and get up and running.”
PM3 focuses on 'top down' planning, governance and realising value from projects and programmes. By planning each project as a series of outcomes and promoting key risks, issues and milestones up to programme level, PM3 takes a unique approach to provide an outcome-driven view and keeps the management team focused on what really matters: delivering and maximising the business value of all project investments.
Michelle explained, "We needed to improve the way we govern projects. We had no common view of all of the inflight projects, no way of seeing what our resources were actually working on compared to what we had planned for them to work on, and we did not have a consistent method of reporting to stakeholders. We found that PM3 met our needs in terms of a lightweight PM framework, reporting, timetracking, portfolio prioritization and capacity/demand planning.”
