Women In Physical Therapy Summit Returns After Successful Inaugural Year
NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) September 21, 2017 -- Thanks to an overwhelming response during its inaugural year, the Women in Physical Therapy Summit will return to Midtown Manhattan (location to be disclosed upon registration) on Saturday, September 23. And according to event organizers, Dr. Karen Litzy, Dr. Sandy Hilton and Erica Meloe, this year’s conference promises to be even more ground breaking than last with over a dozen of the industry’s most exceptional professionals leading important discussions on issues and trends that affect the PT practice.
To ensure that the one-day conference is as interactive, lively and as cutting edge as possible, the event has been broken down into several areas: keynote speakers, panel discussions and power talks (a version of TED Talks). The keynote speakers this year include Dr. Sharon Dunn, the president of the American Physical Therapy Association, and Lolly Daskal, executive leadership coach and best-selling author of the Leadership Gap.
The panel discussions, which are one of the most engaging portions of the conference, will feature a cross section of inspiring women from the PT profession who will lead discussions on a variety of issues facing females in the workplace today. Rounding out the day’s event is the Women in PT Power Talks. Designed much like TED Talks, these panels feature some of the most accomplished women and men in the physical therapy world.
“Our goal is to amplify our collective voices to break down the traditional female archetypes in physical therapy and show that women in the profession are, and can be, meaningful leaders in their clinics, universities, communities and beyond”, said Litzy. “Our attendees are just as important as the speakers at this conference. That’s why we encourage open questions and dialogue throughout the day. It is often during these times that the best ideas and conversation happen”.
For those who are unable to attend in person, The Women in PT Summit will, once again, be available via live video access that users can access from anywhere in the world.
The Women in Physical Therapy Summit will start at 7:30 AM and run until 4:30 PM. Breakfast and lunch are included. For more information and/or to sign up, visit http://www.womeninptsummit.com/
