Women Survivors Alliance Non-Profit Launches OTT Channel, New Focus Network, In Partnership with Vrtuo Interactive Studio
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) September 08, 2016 -- The Women Survivors Alliance, (WSA), is now coming to you Vrtuo-ly as of today. Karen Shayne, Founder of the WSA, announced the launch of New Focus Network (NFN), an advanced Internet Protocol Television Network (IPTV), otherwise known as OTT (over-the-top television) or smart television.
New Focus Network was created in partnership with Vrtuo Interactive and can be found within their suite of channels launched on August 31, 2016. The goal of the partnership is to support the mission of the Women Survivors Alliance of empowering, educating and connecting women whose lives have been touched by cancer.
New Focus Network was specifically designed to distribute positive programming for those desiring a more rewarding viewing experience in today’s media culture by partnering with award-winning producers from television, music, and movie industries. Content will consist of health and wellness as well as general entertainment related subject matter in lifestyles, travel, and cooking.

New Focus Network original programming will include a daytime talk show “Living Inspired”. “Living Inspired” showcases three of daytime television’s most popular topics: talk, how-to, and empowerment. The show offers a variety of talk segments, from celebrity interviews and pop culture news to health tips, fashion trends, DIY, music, and food.
In addition, a new type of interactive cooking show called “The Chef and I” is gearing up for launch. “The Chef and I” will explore life through food as well as allow viewers worldwide to join in and cook right along side with Executive Chef Chris Rains of Nashville as these interactive recipes and shopping lists are to made available in advance to the viewers.
New Focus Network will also feature special presentations of the WSA’s traveling stage show “My 2nd Act” featuring cancer survivors from around the country sharing their stories of their life following a diagnosis. My 2nd Act” follows the backstories of inspiring participants, and catches the emotional moments before each woman steps out onto the stage." This show will reflect the energy and vitality of the brave women who bare their stories to a worldwide audience.
New Focus Network programming will launch late fall 2016 and early 2017 and will continue to expand its content of creative lifestyle programs, specials, and documentaries over the next year. Philip Bradley of Artifact Creative will oversee the content management and development.
Six-time Emmy winner Marcia Mule’ serves as Lifestyles Administrator of the channel through Vrtuo Interactive.
Vrtuo/New Focus Network is available on Smart Televisions directly by searching for VrTuo Networks and also through Roku and Google Play Store VrTuo Networks App. The network host will be adding Amazon Fire and Apple TV in the fall after upgrades to these distributors. Simultaneously, VrTuo Interactive/New Focus Network will be featuring uniquely, special live exclusive A-list level events in pay-per-views and specials through interactive, live broadcasts and streams.
