Women Veterans Interactive Announces Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 24, 2014 -- Women Veterans Interactive leadership will participate in the upcoming Clinton Global Initiative America (CGI America) meeting, June 23-25 in Denver, Colorado. This working meeting brings together leaders across the country to develop solutions that promote the economic recovery and long-term competitiveness of the United States.
WVI will join the CGI Workforce Development Working Group and will be part of the conversation when the group develops solutions for building sector-specific approaches to training and education and investing in innovative tools for skills development. This focus is directly in line with WVI’s mission. Women veterans are the fastest growing population of homeless women veterans with underemployment and unemployment as a major contributor. Our CGI Commitment to Action focuses on empowering military and veteran women through workforce development with a primary focus of participants achieving gainful employment.

In addition to leading WVI, Miller serves as the Chairwoman of the Commission for Veterans in Prince George’s County, Md. The White House also recognized her in 2013 as a Champion of Change for Women Veterans.
