Wonderhood Launches Line Of Building Toys To Empower Girls To Build, Design, And Dream Big
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 14, 2016 -- Wonderhood announces the launch of its new line of creative building toys for girls today. Designed for ages 5 and up, the new Wonderhood products will engage girls’ scientific and creative sides. Wonderhood building sets foster STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills through their unique open-ended design using plastic Design Panels. Because there are no detailed instructions or models to copy, the possibilities are endless! Girls can create whatever they dream up, using their own imagination, spatial and fine-motor skills, and problem-solving.
“As mothers of daughters my partner, Solange, and I have been frustrated with the lack of appealing building toys for girls, so we decided to create our own,” said Andrea Hollander, Co-Founder of Wonderhood with Solange Schipani. “Wonderhood products are a great solution to inspire girls that they can do and be anything!”
Wonderhood’s debut building sets come in two themes - Wonderhood Corner Shops and Wonderhood Grand Hotel. To build, girls connect beautifully illustrated, durable plastic Design Panels that spark the imagination and inspire girls to invent stories. Sturdy construction and the included figurines allow girls to play with their creations and act out adventures once their construction is completed. All of Wonderhood’s building pieces are modular and interchangeable across sets, so girls can combine sets to build larger more sophisticated structures, or create their own Main Street!
Every set includes an Activity Journal which introduces smart, fun female lead characters as role models - like Chelsea, a budding architect, and Emmie, a super star food scientist. Girls can solve the Journal's Design Challenges, and record their own design ideas too.
In addition to the building toys, Wonderhood will offer the Wonderhood Kids figurine pack, which enhances girls’ imaginative play experience with four additional characters.
Wonderhood was founded by two Moms on a mission. Andrea Hollander and Solange Schipani are longtime friends who met in business school, and were inspired by their own daughters to create a new kind of toy for girls. They believe girls should have toys that go beyond stereotypes. Wonderhood toys are fun, creative and encourage girls to dream big while teaching them important skills for the future, especially in science, technology, engineering, and math. Their vision is to empower young girls, through play, to be the architects of their own futures.
Wonderhood toys launch today at specialty retailers nationwide and on Wonderhood’s website at http://www.wonderhoodtoys.com.
