Woodbury University Launches Bimonthly Digital Magazine
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) January 27, 2015 -- Vowing to provide a new, must-read way to engage with its community, Woodbury University today unveiled Woodbury Magazine, a bimonthly digital publication available via iPhone and Android mobile devices, and as a PDF. Issue #1 is ready for immediate download at magazine.woodbury.edu or from the iTunes store at https://appsto.re/us/BUpd5.i.
Each bimonthly issue will have a theme – not so much a narrative thread as a lens through which readers can encounter the personalities and access the experiences that define this institution.
“While we as faculty, staff, students and alumni defy categorization and rightly resist generalizations, we share this much: we’re animated by passion -- and Passion is the theme of our inaugural issue.” said Nicole Keating, PhD., Chair of Communication and Associate Dean, MCD Graduate Studies, and guest editor of the inaugural issue. “Passion is in our DNA. It fuels accomplishment, individually and collectively. Passion drives our architects and artists, our MBAs and our media technologists, our fashion designers and our philosophers.”
According to Keating, “Woodbury Magazine will be at once aspirational and grounded. What are we doing in the classroom and in the world, and what difference are we making?” In the coming months, the Magazine will explore (Woodbury-applied) concepts like Inquiry, Discovery and Excellence. “We’ll meet remarkable people whose stories build on the university’s Four Pillars of Entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, Civic Engagement and Transdisciplinarity,” she noted. “We’ll extend the Woodbury experience through this new vehicle to applicants, their families, and, truly, to everyone the university touches worldwide.”
