Woodfield Mall Enhances Shopping Experience with New Stores and Interior Updates as Part of Ongoing Style Evolution
Schaumburg, IL (PRWEB) July 17, 2015 -- Since kicking off its center-wide style evolution in January, Woodfield Mall, one of the largest shopping destinations in the United States with nearly 300 retail, dining and entertainment options, continues to elevate its overall shopping experience with new stores and interior updates. Woodfield Mall is owned and operated by Simon, a global leader in retail real estate.
Woodfield Mall has added several new retailers in 2015 including Flight 23 at Footaction, Fly Zone at Kids Foot Locker, rue21 and the first-in-state location for SIX:02. The center also announced the future addition of ivivva athletica, coming this summer, as well as Zara and Timberland, both scheduled to open this fall.
The ongoing project, which includes a contemporary and streamlined facelift of the Grand Court and the surrounding department store wings, is well underway for a fall 2015 completion. New elevated plush seating areas and aesthetically appealing cosmetic finishes such as new carpeting and ceramic tile have been added. Heavy brick planters have been removed from the Grand Court and several areas on the upper level have been filled-in to create more walkable shopping space.
Once the transformation is complete, it will become easier to navigate the various elevations of the mall with the addition of a new large capacity elevator and escalator, as well as the replacement of two existing elevators and improved interior and exterior directional signage.
