Woodworker's Journal Recognized With Publishing Awards - Journal Staff Honored by Minnesota Magazine and Publications Association
Medina, MN (PRWEB) November 18, 2014 -- Woodworker's Journal magazine, the flagship publication of Rockler Press, a division of Rockler Woodworking and Hardware, has just won many prestigious awards from the Minnesota Magazine and Publications Association (MMPA). Woodworker's Journal won three gold, a silver and three bronze awards in categories that ranged from how-to articles and ongoing columns to overall excellence. The MMPA Excellence Awards were announced on November 13.
Woodworker's Journal publisher Rob Johnstone said, "I am thankful and very pleased that we were honored by our peers in such a meaningful way. My staff is hugely talented and works exceedingly hard, so from that context, I guess I can't say that I am overly surprised by the awards. Judges' comments for the Woodworker's Journal winning entries praised them as being "entertaining," as well as appropriate and useful for the intended audience.
