Woot.com Celebrates its 11th Birthday with a Murder Mystery
Seattle (PRWEB) July 13, 2015 -- Woot.com announced the launch of a five-day-long celebration of its 11th anniversary, beginning today and culminating on Friday, July 17. Customers can take advantage of free shipping on all items sold on Monday, July 13, enjoy a special birthday edition of the popular Woot-Off flash sale on Tuesday, and play an interactive murder-mystery game across the site all week long, with winners and awards announced during a livestream event on Friday, July 17.
“We’re excited about our birthday and can’t wait to pass that excitement along to our customers,” said John Alteio, General Manager of Woot. “We’ve lined up great deals and surprises all week and we hope our customers have fun unlocking all the different clues and limited-time sales.”
Free Shipping All Day Monday
Everything that Woot.com sells, from electronics and home goods to sporting goods and custom-printed shirts, will ship for free on Monday, July 13.
All-Star Woot-Off Tuesday
The customer favorite Woot-Off, which showcases one deal at a time until it sells out, will run all day Tuesday, July 14, featuring Woot’s best prices of the season. Save up to 75% on select laptops and electronics, 70% on home goods, plus thousands of other deals running all week long.
The Return of American Apparel
Starting Monday, July 13, Shirt.Woot is excited to once again offer designs on American Apparel brand shirts. Customers can now choose between a “house brand” and a “premium” American Apparel option. “We’re thrilled to be giving customers this choice,” said Joel Lewis, Director of Shirt.Woot. “Our house brand offers value, whereas AA offers an American-made alternative with a more slim fit.”
“Wootdunnit!” – A week-long murder mystery
It’s a good, old-fashioned whodunit, with a Woot twist. Someone’s been murdered, and it’s up to customers to help solve the crime. Woot.com will transform into “The Mansion,” where customers can explore rooms and watch videos in search of clues, secret limited-quantity sales, and $5 collections of random products and junk from the Woot warehouse, known as Bags of Crap. The week-long interactive game will culminate with a livestream on Friday, July 17, where the killer will be revealed and customers will be rewarded with a yet-to-be-announced surprise.
