Hosted by Abe Kasbo and sponsored by Raritan Bay Medical Center, the hour-long episode will feature Dr. Nanditha Krishnamsetty, Kristin Carlino and Ed Simmons.
Dr. Nanditha Krishnamsetty, a board-certified psychiatrist with Raritan Bay Medical Center will discuss the common triggers that cause the most stress during the holidays. She will also outline some preemptive strategies that can be put in place to avoid those triggers. Often referred to as the "winter blues," Dr. Krishnamsetty will also explain what Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is and how it can be treated.
In the second segment, Kristin Carlino, a registered dietician at the Institute for Weight Loss at Raritan Bay Medical Center, will discuss how the stresses of the holidays affects the way people eat. Kristin will offer strategies for eating healthy without feeling deprived while still enjoying all of the treats that are around this time of the year.
Ed Simmons, the owner and executive chef of Dough Artisan Pizzeria in Caldwell, NJ, will be talking about his farm to table dining philosophy. He will share his culinary point of view and discuss what farm to table really means and the benefits that it offers to both the patrons of his restaurant and the local community. Chef Simmons will also share one of his favorite recipes that is quick and easy to prepare at home.
