WordSouth Welcomes Foothills Broadband of Kentucky As Newest Participant in the Regional Telco Magazine
Rainsville, Alabama (PRWEB) July 22, 2014 -- WordSouth is pleased to announce that Foothills Broadband, a telecommunications cooperative serving counties in East Kentucky, has become the latest participant in its Regional Telco Magazine. Foothills joins 13 other telecommunications companies in the collaborative publishing effort.
The consumer magazine is produced by WordSouth, an Alabama-based content marketing and custom publishing company serving the rural utilities industry. Written, designed and produced by WordSouth, the magazine is mailed to the customers and prospects of rural telecommunications companies participating in the project. It is also produced in various digital formats.
“Foothills is a great addition to the magazine,” says Stephen V. Smith, founder and president of WordSouth. “We are excited to welcome them into the project, and look forward to helping them tell their story in ways that will educate, inform and engage their members and prospects.”
Headquartered in Staffordsville, Kentucky, Foothills Broadband provides local phone service, high speed internet and digital TV over a fiber-to-the-premise network in Johnson, Lawrence and Magoffin counties. Its fiber network was one of the first of its kind in the state of Kentucky.
“We are nearing completion of our area-wide fiber-to-the-home network, creating many new opportunities for our members,” says Ruth Conley, CEO of Foothills Broadband. “This collaborative magazine project will help us expand efforts to educate our members on how to take advantage of these opportunities, and how our network is impacting the communities of East Kentucky.
“This is a collaborative effort among several of our sister companies in the industry, and that was a leading factor behind our decision to join the project,” adds Conley. “Half the magazine features regional and industry content shared across all editions, and by combining our circulation we enjoy lower production costs than if we were publishing individual newsletters. WordSouth has developed a system that enables us to send a high-quality, engaging publication to our members and prospects, all on a cost-effective basis.”
Participants in the magazine project serve portions of five states: Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina and Texas. Foothills joins the following companies. They are:
