One of the key concerns employers have when implementing a time tracker or an employee monitoring software is how their employees will react, because more often than not they feel it’s an invasion of privacy.

Most monitoring software allow business owners to record employees' screens, they have keyloggers, they track emails, scan USBs, etc. While these features can be great to protect the company’s data, they can also be seen as too intrusive. Workpuls has recognized that privacy is one of the main issues employers face when getting employee buy-in for a monitoring software, which is why they’ve created a tool that lets you supervise workers without invading their privacy.

On the most basic Workpuls setup level, employers can choose between multiple levels of tracking. If they want to track suspicious activities, managers can use Workpuls in stealth mode so their tracking goes unnoticed. On the other hand, they can use the manual clock-in to let their employees control the tracking. In this case workers can stop and start the tracker as they please, to stop it from monitoring their personal activities.

But, the newest Privacy feature Workpuls released really sets it apart from the competitors. This feature lets business owners and managers select apps which they don’t want to track, but also the apps that they don’t want to take screenshots of. To comply with GDPR, HIPAA and other regulations, companies must limit the amount of personal information they’re collecting, and this feature helps them do just that. They can stop tracking and taking screenshots on social media or banking websites, or any other sites and tools their employees are using.

In recent months Workpuls grew its customer base by 300%, and the company expects to grow even more thanks to these new options.
