World Energy Center, Hales Global Group & Manchester Associates, Team Up On Clean Energy Solutions
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 31, 2013 -- Manchester Associates has formed a strategic partnership with Hales Global Group and World Energy Center to manage their Washington, DC, lobbying efforts aimed at promoting World Energy Center's renewable energy efforts to reduce the U.S.' addiction to fossil fuels. Hales Global Group LLC (http://www.halesglobal.com) has been providing business development, consulting and advisory services to World Energy Center since 2009 while helping World Energy Center navigate the public policy, regulatory and funding vehicles under the Obama Administration. According to Ian Campbell, Senior Lobbyist with Manchester Associates (http://www.Manchester-Group.com), "we will be responsible for introducing the Obama Administration, the Congress, the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy and other federal agencies to the important work World Energy is doing in the area of renewable energy."
World Energy Center (http://www.worldenergyusa.com) is a world-class consortium of more than 30 companies, cities, colleges, participants' partners and affiliates. The collaborative team, assembled and managed by World Energy USA collectively employs more than 1,000,000 people and generate annual revenues in excess of $250 billion. The Center's comprehensive approach aims to solve the challenges facing the clean energy industry and collaborates with several leading universities and colleges to rapidly advance clean energy research, educational curriculum's and job training programs. World Energy Center is looking forward to working with LA Mayor Garcetti and his administration to advance the work of World Energy Center's collaborative team.
David Joseph, Chairman & CEO, would like for House Energy & Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton and Ranking Member Henry Waxman "to provide greater support for renewable energy solutions which would minimize price spikes in natural gas under renewable fuel standards legislation and join California by transitioning the Federal Government to renewable energy." According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the northeast is increasingly reliant on natural gas for power generation while California is ranked among the top state in the nation in net electricity generation from renewable resources and leads the nation in solar energy.
Secretary Hagel of the Department of Defense, calls climate change a "serious global challenge" and fossil fuel energy use contributes to climate change. President Obama has called on Secretary Hagel to explore energy cost reduction alternatives because energy security and national security are linked. The U.S. military, the most powerful fighting force on the planet, must have the energy required for training, moving and sustaining military forces and weapons platforms for military operations while lowering costs. According to Chairman Joseph, "states are benefiting from renewable energy solutions, the world will be a beneficiary and so can the federal government and the U.S. military". World Energy Center and the Department of Defense have mutual interest and a partnership should be developed to help meet the Department's energy reduction goals and satisfy Congress' mandate.
