World-Renowned Facial Plastic Surgeon Releases Amazing Video Depicting Stunning Cosmetic Surgery Results
Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) July 29, 2013 -- In a new video just released on YouTube, Babak Azizzadeh, MD, FACS, world-renowned facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon based out of Los Angeles, discusses the benefits of getting CO2 laser skin resurfacing treatments in addition to other cosmetic procedures. The patient in thevideo receives laser skin resurfacing treatment while still under anesthesia from a surgical neck lift.
“Patients don’t commonly expect a facial plastic surgeon to consider skin resurfacing, but in order for my patients to experience optimal results when they come to me for facial restoration and rejuvenation procedures, we need to address the surface of the skin as well. A patient who gets a facelift or a neck lift, but still has pigmentation problems or acne scars is not going to be completely satisfied,” said Dr. Azizzadeh.
CO2 Fractional Laser Resurfacing is a procedure that, alone, has very little downtime with most patients returning to their normal activities right after treatment. Fractional laser skin resurfacing involves the use of a non-ablative laser to deliver light microbeams deep into the dermis. This process essentially forces out the old skin and stimulates the production of fresh, healthy skin.
“Fractional resurfacing is a non-invasive way to restore a youthful appearance to the skin. I use it to treat sun damage, acne scars, melasma, and various pigment irregularities, and great results can be seen in just a few short sessions,” explained Babak Azizzadeh, MD, FACS about the CO2 fractional laser.
Dr. Azizzadeh and his team at the Center for Advanced Facial Plastic Surgery can perform skin resurfacing treatments on their own, or in conjunction with another cosmetic procedure. Like the patient in the video, patients can undergo fraxel skin resurfacing while still under anesthesia from a surgical cosmetic procedure, like a facelift or neck lift.
“Undergoing the fractional laser skin resurfacing while under anesthesia from, say, a neck lift, means that the patient can experience a total facial rejuvenation in just one visit. While anesthesia is certainly not necessary for laser skin resurfacing, there may be some discomfort so doing it at the same time as the surgical procedure eliminates that,” said Dr. Azizzadeh.
Dr. Azizzadeh is the author of five bestselling books, including the popular consumer guidebook "Beverly Hills Beauty Secrets." He was recognized as a Beauty Expert in 2012, and has been featured in popular media outlets such as Entertainment Tonight, The Doctors, LA Times and the NY Times. Dr. Azizzadeh serves on the Physician Advisory Board of Sanofi-Aventis, Mysoscience, Mentor, and SkinMedica, and was awarded the RealSelf Top Botox Experts Award in 2011.
