World’s Fastest Motorcycle, The Top 1 Oil Ack Attack Streamliner, Preps to Break 400 MPH
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 04, 2013 -- On September 12, the speed warriors of the racing world will convene at the Bonneville Salt Flats for Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout, the annual assault on land-speed world records. The Top 1 Oil Ack Attack streamliner motorcycle, currently the world’s fastest motorcycle with a top one-way speed of 394.084 MPH and a world record speed of 376.4 MPH, will be revved up to defend its title.
As the Top 1 Oil Ack Attack team preps to break the 400 MPH mark against three competitors from across the globe, pilot Rocky Robinson and owner-designer Mike Akatiff are preparing to break their own world record. This San Francisco Bay Area-based team will make their fourth trek to Utah to take on the treacherous terrain of the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Designed and built from the ground up by Mike Akatiff, the Top 1 Oil Ack Attack's bullet-shaped chassis is made from chromoly tubing. The motorcycle streamliner is powered by two 1,299 cc (79.3 cu in) Suzuki Hayabusa turbocharged engines, which produce more than 900 horsepower, and runs on Mickey Thompson tires.

Pilot Rocky Robinson added, “If salt and weather conditions are favorable, this could be the year a two-wheeled machine officially breaks the 400 MPH barrier and that’s making history.”
The Top 1 Oil Ack Attack’s world records are confirmed and certified by the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), which is the world's leading regulatory authority for motorsports racing. Additionally, The Top 1 Oil The Ack Attack's record was included in the 2012 Guinness World Records.
