World's First Self-Contained Electric Start 15HP Outboard Motor Now Available in Europe
EUROPAPLEIN, Amsterdam (PRWEB) November 20, 2014 -- LEHR is excited to announce the World’s First Self-Contained Electric Start Propane-Powered line of outboard motors in Europe. This new 15HP outboard motor with internal battery offers easy electric start with no rigging or battery clutter in your boat. LEHR uses Lithium Iron batteries which are lighter and able to hold an unloaded charge for an entire year, up to twice as long as a lead acid battery. In addition to being lightweight and easy to use these lines of motors are environmentally friendly with no LEAD or ACID battery pollution.
It has been a sensational year for LEHR with two more recent announcements bringing their product line to the forefront. Captain Bernardo Herzer, CEO of LEHR spoke regarding the approval LEHR received recently enabling their line of propane-powered outboard motors to operate on Lake Constance (Bodensee), “Today we reached a milestone which only reinforces our efforts to strengthen awareness of propane, a hero fuel for the marine environment, and the most reliable fuel for marine applications.” said Captain Herzer. The Bodensee is the third biggest lake in Central Europe and it is on the path of the Rhine River. LEHR’s environmentally friendly technology based outboards are the first propane-powered boat motors approved by the nautical authorities working under the BSO (Bodensee- Schifffahrts Ordnung) regulations protecting the Lake.
With LEHR introducing their line of eco-friendly products to Europe at the METS trade show this month he stated, “We’re excited to participate at this amazing trade show and very humbled to be nominated and receive a Special Mention for this year’s DAME award for our Self-Contained electric start 15HP propane outboard. Captain Herzer is not only an advocate of the environment he was recently appointed by the World LPG Association as Chairman of GLOTEC’s LPG Marine Applications Group which focuses on creating awareness around LPG for marine applications.
