World’s Largest Recovery App, Sober Grid, Can Now Predict Relapses with Artificial Intelligence
NEW YORK (PRWEB) February 19, 2018 -- Sober Grid, Inc., a National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health supported company, in partnership with researchers at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, has successfully developed technology to identify if an individual is at heightened risk for relapse to drug or alcohol use. Sober Grid's massive data set, coupled with existing and new algorithms, shows significant promise to improve outcomes to combat today's addiction crisis.
Sober Grid has an impressive leadership team that includes Chief Operating Officer, Chris Pesce, a Boston College and Johnson and Johnson alumnus, and the esteemed Mr. Lon Sherritt, as its Chief Data Scientist. Lon was Director of Research and Technology at Boston Children's Hospital's Center for Adolescent Substance Abuse Research for 18 years and was also an Associate Researcher at Harvard Medical School. The Sober Grid team has worked closely with a leading addiction researcher and team of data scientists and machine learning experts at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine to develop the precursor technology for a system that will predict those at highest risk for relapse and deliver timely interventions in an effort to prevent it. Through this system, Sober Grid is able to identify language cues that correlate with potential for relapse.
