World Walker Loses 140 Pounds By Walking And Starts Foundation EON, Inc. (nonprofit) To Eliminate Obesity Now
Scottsdale, Arizona (PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- Do you know anyone who's walked the circumference of the Earth? Well, Stanley Bronstein's about to complete his goal of doing just that on behalf of the nonprofit organization he funded called Foundation EON, Inc. (EON). EON's mission is, quite simply, the Elimination of Obesity Now - http://FoundationEON.org
Going back to 1990, Stanley weighed in at a maximum of 367 pounds. As late as Feb 1, 2009, Stanley was 320 pounds. On Feb 1, 2009, Bronstein decided he'd had enough. He was going to start walking. He started doing just that. He started walking, a lot . . .
Since July 1, 2009, Bronstein's walked just short of 24,901 miles and he's expected to cross that threshold on October 15, 2014. Stanley's progress toward this goal can be tracked at iWarriorWalk.com - http://iWarriorWalk.com
His weight is down to 175 pounds. Believe it or not, that's actually less than he weighed when he was around 10 years old.
Much of his mileage has been walked outdoors, but quite a bit has also been done on Stanley's treadmill desk setup. Stanley wants more and more people to start walking with him so that they can share this milestone once it's achieved. He also wants more companies to provide treadmill desk setups in the workplace so that people can walk while getting their work done.
Stanley believes that walking is the way to deal with the current obesity crisis and healthcare crisis in America. All it takes is for everyone to start walking 20 to 30 minutes a day for 5 days or more each week. That's a message that needs to get out more than ever. That's why he founded Foundation EON, Inc. as a 501(c)(3) charity for the elimination of obesity.
Stanley and EON's story was a recent front page story (Jul 16, 2014) at the American Heart Association's blog. That story can be found at http://blog.heart.org/world-walker-arizona-walker-has-nearly-covered-the-equivalent-of-a-trip-around-the-world/
You may ask if Bronstein's going to stop walking once he reaches the upcoming milestone of walking around the Earth in a little over 5 years. The answer to that question is a resounding no.
The next step is for EON to begin putting on a series of public workshops and to organize a 2015 walking tour around the United States where Bronstein and EON will be seeking to get out the word about the health benefits of walking by taking the message directly to the people.
