World Wide Stereo Hosts Free Night of Live Jazz & Yamaha's Self-Playing Piano
MONTGOMERYVILLE, Pa., March 1, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- World Wide Stereo, one of the nation's leading providers of consumer electronics and premium home audio, hosted a night of live jazz at their Montgomeryville, PA showroom on February 21, 2018. Dozens of customers and fans came out to experience Yamaha's self-playing Disklavier piano and listen to Jazz & Blues covers performed by local legend, Arlyn Wolters.
"Though the Yamaha Disklavier piano was the big attraction at World Wide Stereo Montgomeryville, in the end, they all came and stayed for the music," said Bob Cole, Founder and CEO of World Wide Stereo.
The event was held to promote Yamaha's Disklavier Enspire piano, which was provided by Cunningham Piano Company. A hit at CES 2017 and 2018, the Disklavier Enspire perfectly replicates performances by piano greats like Elton John, Sarah McLachlan, and Frederic Chiu.
"And the piano, well, what makes it so special is that only the keystrokes were pre-recorded. The piano itself plays those keystrokes live!" Bob added.
The piano connects to Yamaha's MusicCast wireless multi-room products, including speakers, receivers, sound bars, and amps. Attendees also experienced a demo of a Yamaha MusicCast speaker working with the Disklavier piano.
Accompanying the Disklavier Enspire piano was one of the east coast's most accomplished blues singers and lead vocalist of "The Dukes of Destiny," Arlyn Wolters.
"The always wonderful Arlyn Wolters mesmerized the mixed crowd with classic Blues & Jazz covers, singing to a pre-recorded keystroke accompaniment by Philly's own Reverend Chris Marsceill," Bob added.
Between sets, attendees enjoyed presentations from Yamaha and Cunningham Piano Company. "During the break, we were all surprised by Cunningham Piano's Hugh Sung's extraordinary piano playing and very moving presentation, which was all about the Music."
Light refreshments from Izenberg's Deli, and a complimentary wine tasting from Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery were available for all to enjoy.
