Worldwide Transportation Library to Visit Motorways of Central Europe
San José, CA (PRWEB) July 29, 2013 -- The Worldwide Transportation Library (WWTL, http://wwtl.info) today announces its intent to study the roads of Central Europe. During September, the volunteer-based organisation will visit the countries of Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria as part of a photography tour. Most attention will be paid to roadways along the Adriatic Sea and leading north into the Alps.
All content captured from this visit will be shared exclusively on the WWTL website. Accompanying each photograph entry will be contextual data including GPS coordinates, distance charts, and factual trivia intended to engage travelers about local road conditions and cultural landmarks. All captures will be made available at the end of September.
"To be frank, western Europe receives the most attention from international travelers," states Carl Rogers, owner of the Worldwide Transportation Library. "Our intent is to offer insight into a dynamic, budding section of Europe through the lens of the camera. The past couple decades have shown the resilience of Central European nations, who have successfully escaped the shadows of oppression and have modernised their transportation infrastructure to connect some of the most picturesque destinations."
With railroad and highway captures from every inhabited content, the WWTL caters to tourists who hit the road as part of their adventures. The WWTL also serves as a web resource for viatology (i.e., the scientific study of roads). They also tout a large library of photographs, videos, and 360-degree panoramic views from the world. As a global supplier of media, the WWTL also offers translations in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
As a result of its past efforts, the Worldwide Transportation Library has received press coverage in the Latin American nations of Costa Rica and Colombia. The WWTL also has a presence on social media platforms Twitter and Facebook.
