WORX Introduces Its First Cordless Pole Saw And Chainsaw To Its Lineup Of Green Outdoor Power Equipment

Both saws include the exclusive features of WORX electric chainsaws, including an automatic chain tensioning system and instant oil lubrication.
Not tethered by an extension cord, the go-anywhere, 2-in-1 pole saw features a tool-less extension pole that provides a total reach of 10 ft. off the ground. Users can snake their way through tree branches for trimming and cutting broken or dead branches. The pole saw also is handy for thinning out dense shrubbery. The saw detaches from the extension pole to independently cut tree limbs up to 10 in. diameter for firewood, chipping, landscape use or disposal.
The pole saw is powered by a compact, 20V, MAX Lithium 2.0 Ah battery, with a built-in fuel gauge. The battery’s charge level is monitored by pressing an electronic keypad. As part of the WORX 20V Power Share program, the battery also is interchangeable with all WORX 20V lawn and garden and DIY tools, for cost savings and convenience.
The saw weighs only 10.4 lbs. and is equipped with a 10 in. low-kickback bar and has a 3/8 in. chain pitch. Overmolds on both front and rear handles improve operator comfort and control.
The versatile pole saw includes the patented WORX Auto-Chain Tension system. A large dial on the saw’s body is turned, and the system sets the proper chain tension to prevent over-tightening. An automatic oiler system includes a reservoir with an oil level indicator.
