In April, Wright Medical Group, Inc. disclosed in a regulatory filing that it had been named a defendant in a number of lawsuits filed on behalf of Wright Profemur hip replacement recipients who allegedly suffered complications associated with the fracturing of the Profemur long titanium modular neck product.** Court documents filed in March in U.S. District Court, Northern District of California also indicated that the company had reached a settlement in a Wright hip lawsuit involving a Profemur recipient that had been pending in that venue.(Tucker, et ux. v.
