XBOSoft CEO Philip Lew to Speak on Agile Metrics at ASTQB in Washington DC
Reston, VA (PRWEB) August 26, 2015 -- XBOSoft CEO, Philip Lew, will speak on Agile Metrics at the ASTQB Software Testing Conference 2015 in Washington DC on Monday, September 14, 2015. The conference takes place at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel September 14-16.
In his half-day tutorial, “Agile Metrics – Not Just Velocity,” Philip Lew will discuss ways to deliver software quality metrics with actionable goals toward increasing or improving the two primary objectives of Agile: quality and velocity for working software. The session will explore the mistakes made in agile metrics and how to avoid them, how to consistently and systematically improve root causes of low velocity, ways to reduce rework, and how to analyze a company’s agile process and determine meaningful metrics to present to management.
“With agile development methods, we often lose sight that our primary objective is the same: quality,” says Lew. “We’ve also added the primary objective of velocity. However, we don’t know how to measure it other than ‘velocity’ itself.” The ASTQB conference tutorial will offer practical advice in how to effectively track Agile metrics in order to make timely project delivery and meet the requirements and interests of all stakeholders.
