(PRWEB) May 21, 2015 -- LA-based team, xSky Inc., announced xSky 3.0.1, an update to their virtual astronomy telescope app for iOS devices. xSky gives a very detailed view of distant objects like the Sun, Moon, planets, stars and galaxies, by pointing the device to the sky above and zooming in. While zooming, objects may change to show up close attributes not otherwise visible.
xSky provided 2 modes: real time view and locked mode. In real time view the user is able to look around the sky by holding the device up and rotating. When the user selects an object from the search list, xSky will show an arrow to point where it is located. In the lock mode, xSky brings the desired object to the center of the screen. Additionally, the user can pinch to explore the object in more detail.
The xSky app is simple and fun to use.
Features:
• Sun, Moon, 9 planets + Pluto, 4 Galilean Moons, 3000+ stars, 88 constellations and 9 galaxies.
• Pinch the screen to zoom in close.
• Use lock button to stop motions.
• Search arrow will help to locate any object in the sky.
• Soft music and sound effects.
The app requires iOS 7.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone and iPad devices. It is optimized for iPhone 5, 6 and 6 Plus.
