Yamaha Clavinova CLP-500 Series Digital Pianos Let Pianists Choose from Both Yamaha and Bösendorfer Concert Grands
Buena Park, CA (PRWEB) June 06, 2014 -- Yamaha today introduced the Clavinova CLP-500 Series digital pianos that are the first of their kind to feature sounds from two distinct piano brands: the Yamaha CFX 9-foot concert grand and the Bösendorfer Imperial. Upper models in the series feature Yamaha’s new Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) technology which emulates the sonic behavior of acoustic piano strings. Piano touch enhancements have also been added to every model in the line, which can include real wooden keys, a key action escapement feel and Yamaha's Synthetic Ivory keytops, which give these digital pianos a more authentic, acoustic piano-like playability than ever before.

Geared especially towards families seeking an upright piano alternative, the six models of the Clavinova CLP-500 Series include the CLP-525, CLP-535, CLP-545, CLP-575, CLP-565GP baby grand and CLP-585. The Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial Voices and key action escapement are available in models CLP-535 and above. Real wooden keys are featured in models CLP-545 and higher. The CLP-525 offers Clavinova technologies and cabinetry at a new, entry-level price point.
CLP-500 Series models provide a variety of interactive music entertainment, education and performance features that make these digital pianos just as enjoyable for beginners as they are for advanced pianists.
Models CLP-535 and above can integrate seamlessly and wirelessly with the Apple iPad and exclusive Yamaha apps for iOS like NoteStar, which lets users view scores of the internal lesson songs and even turn pages with the Clavinova’s pedals. Wireless features require the optional Yamaha UDWL01 Wi-Fi adapter.
Select CLP-500 models also have USB connectivity, which lets pianists easily capture performances, document and store piano lesson material or record original compositions as high-quality audio files or MIDI songs.
Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC) assures that these instruments maintain a full, rich sound with balanced highs and lows at all volume levels.
New exclusive keyboard actions found within the CLP-500 Series Clavinovas include the new GH3X (Graded Hammer 3X) action with escapement or NWX action which adds real wooden keys. The CLP-575 and CLP-585 have the added authenticity of an acoustic piano touch with Graded Linear Hammers that simulates a grand piano action where no two keys are weighted alike. The CLP-525 features Yamaha’s GH3 (Graded Hammer 3) action.
In addition to cutting-edge technology and quality craftsmanship, the new CLP-500 Series offers attractive upright piano cabinetry that is taller than previous lines, providing a more authentic acoustic piano appearance. The series also offers finish options to match any home décor, including black walnut, rosewood, mahogany and polished ebony. A simple, intuitive control panel with LCD on most models improves ease of operation from previous generations, yet is subtler so it doesn’t detract from the piano aesthetic of the instruments.
