Yamaha Corporation of America Names Larpenteur Guitar Product Specialist
BUENA PARK, Calif. (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Yamaha Corporation of America (YCA) today announced the appointment of Chris Larpenteur to the position of Guitar Product Specialist for Yamaha Guitars, effective immediately. Larpenteur will be responsible for educating dealers about new products and sales methods, conducting regular store inventories to help identify sales opportunities and serving as an intermediary between Yamaha and retail personnel. He will report to Dennis Webster, Manager of Marketing, Pro Audio & Combo Division at YCA.
Before joining Yamaha, Larpenteur held the position of Product Specialist at Gibson Guitar Company, where he trained store sales associates on sales techniques and products and served as a liaison between dealers and the company to address needs and issues. Highlighting his career at Gibson, Larpenteur won the Guitar Center Representative of the Year award in 2012. Other prior experience includes roles of increasing responsibility at major music retail outlets, including Brook Mays Music in Arlington, Texas, Guitar Center in Lynnwood, Washington and Mars Music in Atlanta.
“Chris understands how to connect with our valued dealers and ultimately, with customers,” said Webster. “He serves as the bridge between Yamaha and the selling floor and has developed a great rapport with salesman and managers.”
Larpenteur earned two Bachelor of Science degrees at the University of Washington, one in Psychology and the other in Zoology.
