Yarris Targets Legal Field with Latest Venture, Dazychain
Melbourne, VIC (PRWEB) September 19, 2016 -- Yarris recently announced the re-launch of their latest venture, Dazychain, a cloud-based legal collaboration tool and matter management platform designed to streamline complex business workflow processes for in-house counsel and corporate legal teams.
Legal teams face increasing pressure to cut costs and provide increased transparency for clients. In-house solutions range from non-responsive spreadsheets to databases. The lack of visibility into deliverable status and workload makes it difficult to create accurate reports on performance and spend.
Dazychain grew out of Yarris Legal Gateway, an enterprise solution used by businesses and governments, including the New South Wales and Victorian governments, to manage the provision of legal services. Dazychain clients include the secured debt collections team at Bendigo & Adelaide Bank, which reduced collection times and saved over 100 hours of administration time per month with the platform.
Yarris CEO and founder Ian Goddard left a successful career in corporate law to start Hubbub, the precursor to Yarris. The business incubator built web-based tools for businesses with emerging internet technologies. Goddard spent 20 years transforming his start-up into a B2B SaaS and cloud industry leader, known for managing complex online processes for enterprises.
“Legal is one of the last craft professions to be disrupted by technology and many lawyers are troubled. They know change is coming but they don’t have a recipe to deal with it. There were 12,000 legal graduates last year and only a small percentage found jobs in the legal field. We knew if we could develop a new way of delivering services, it would create a way for legal teams to stay competitive,” says Goddard.
“We started developing Dazychain in early 2013, using the expertise we’d built up from 15 years of managing complex services for enterprises. We thought legal teams needed a simple and intuitive means to manage the services they buy all the time.”
Goddard and his team at Yarris launched the first iteration of Dazychain in 2014. They solicited customer feedback and over the course of the next 18 months, the team rebuilt the product in accordance with the feedback. Dazychain re-launched in late July 2016.
“This was a classic pivot story – we built, we listened and we changed course. Apart from simplifying the application, we designed it for the audience which really loves using it. We built the product our customers wanted and needed to run their businesses better,” said Goddard.
