Yerba Buena Wealth Advisors, LLC shares the Donor Motivation Program® to Support Bay Area Charities’ Planned Giving Efforts
San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) October 23, 2014 -- Yerba Buena Wealth Advisors, LLC, will share and highlight The Donor Motivation Program ® on November 4th in San Francisco and November 5th in San Rafael. Non Profit organizations are invited to join us for this private presentation as we discuss the current landscape that charities face today. The presentation will include a review of seven challenging planned giving trends, according to a recently released special report, as well as how non-profits can overcome these trends by using a donor-centric approach.
According to a recently released Special Report, The 7 Most Influential Planned Giving Trends in 2014”, charities face good news and bad news. This annually updated report, available at http://www.donormotivationnorcal.com, also outlines the five major concerns that today’s donor faces and cites a survey of the middle and upper class showing that “gifts to charity” comes in last in terms of wealth priorities. Not that those surveyed are not charitable, they are, it’s simply that the challenges of modern life have caused donors to re-evaluate, and charity has become a lower priority.
Charities, on the other hand, face their own set of challenges, including the need for annual funding. Major giving campaigns play a huge role in charities’ funding strategies.
“Major giving is focused on gifts of cash and securities,” says Bruce Frankel, Managing Partner of Yerba Buena Wealth Advisors, the provider of the Donor Motivation Program® in the Bay Area, “These are the two assets that most donors are concerned about keeping and preserving, because they worry about running out of money. With inflation, rising cost of health care and living longer, seniors have more concerns than in prior generations. Major giving programs, although vital to every charity, are by their nature charity-centric. They are focused on the needs of the charity. That’s why it is critical today that charities also manage a vibrant planned giving programs. Planned giving is the perfect complement, because it’s donor-centric – the needs of the donor are the primary concern, but it’s a win-win for the non-profit as well.“
