(PRWEB) April 22, 2015 -- The event will consist of a Yoga Marketplace featuring over 30 vendors and a master yoga class led by 4 celebrated and acclaimed yoga instructors: Stacy McCarthy, Michael Fukumura, Claire Petretti Marti and Dominic Mineo. Yoga for Hope event sponsors: San Diego Padres, Chobani, Northrop Grumman, LUNA, prAna, Beaming, Epic PhotoJournalism, California Coast Credit Union and OnTrac. The proceeds from the event benefit research, treatment and education programs at City of Hope, aiding the center’s efforts to expand awareness of the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection when battling cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life threatening diseases.
“Yoga is an integral part City of Hope’s overriding mission to heal the whole person, including nurturing the emotional, spiritual, social and physical well-being,” said Robyn Hima, Director of Philanthropy for City of Hope’s San Diego regional office. “Yoga for Hope will bring more awareness to the benefits of yoga for patients with life-threatening illnesses and help raise money directly benefiting the research and care we provide at the hospital.”
