Young Asset Protection and Animal Friends of Pittsburgh Launch Charity Drive to Rescue and Shelter Abandoned Animals
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) June 26, 2015 -- Young Asset Protection, a locally owned insurance firm with offices serving the greater Pittsburgh and Carnegie communities, is launching a charity initiative to support non-profit Animal Friends of Pittsburgh in their mission to shelter, protect, and find new adoptive homes for abandoned and rescued animals throughout the area.
Thousands of animals are abandoned in Pittsburgh annually, and Animal Friends of Pittsburgh has sheltered and found new homes for more than 2,400 pets per year since 2001. Their compassionate approach is summed up in their slogan “thinking outside the cage”, and they have offered countless creative solutions for ending the suffering many animals go through on the streets. Most importantly, Animal Friends of Pittsburgh operates one of the only no-kill animal shelters in the area.
“Animal Friends operates a safe and comfortable pet shelter that demonstrates the compassion of the people in our community,” says Megan Young, owner and manager of Young Asset Protection. “Animal Friends has been caring for animals in our community for over a decade, and now it’s our turn to show them the support they need to continue their mission.”
Young has already mobilized significant manpower and resources in spreading awareness and generating donations for the Animal Friends of Pittsburgh, reaching out to friends, family, associates, and clients alike. In addition, the Young Asset Protection team has established an online presence via social media that continues to find new supporters throughout the state.
