Young Local Veteran and Wife Start Window Cleaning Business in Olympia
Olympia, WA (PRWEB) June 25, 2014 -- Window Genie announces the grand opening of their newest location in Olympia, WA on Monday July 7th. US Army Veteran Spencer Zeman and his wife Lynda are the owners/operators. Window Genie is a nationally ranked home service franchise specializing in window cleaning, window tinting, pressure washing, gutter cleaning and more. Window Genie of Olympia will service surrounding South Sound communities of Tumwater, Olympia and Lacey.
Before joining the Window Genie team, Specer Zeman pursued a Masters of Arts in Political Science at University of Central Florida before joining the military in October of 2010. After finishing training he took over the training management section in Ft. Lewis, WA where he managed 36 subordinate units and 42 employees. He oversaw the implementation of training schedules, travel and a revolving credit account in excess of 15 million dollars. He deployed to Afghanistan in April 2012 for a nine-month deployment. After returning home he began to explore opportunities to apply what he'd learned towards achieving his lifelong dream of becoming a small business owner. His wife Lynda teaches ballroom dance classes but will also be very involved in the business as co-owner; she will handle all social media, networking and community outreach efforts for Window Genie in Olympia.
Spencer worked with Jim Frank, franchise coach with The Entrepreneur's Source. Together they were able to determine the best franchise opportunities that fit Spencer's goals, interests, strengths and weaknesses. Spencer said, "Jim helped me realize what my priorities were and we peeled back layers of each model to discover which opportunities would be the best fit. After speaking with current Window Genie franchise partners, Spencer knew he was headed in the right direction. Window Genie of Olympia officially opens for business on Monday July 7th. Spencer and Lynda are Window Genie's youngest owners at 28 and 27 respectively. We're excited to get out there, meet customers and provide great service to the people of Olympia. It's something I hope we can build and continue to grow for years."
