Young Mother Invents SwingSafe™: A Safer Way For Children To Swing
Westford, Massachusetts (PRWEB) June 19, 2015 -- Stephanie Slattery is the mother of four small children. Like most kids they love to go to the park and play on the swings. Most of the time, however, the “baby” swing seats at the park were occupied and there wasn’t any kind of back support on the regular swings that were available. Stephanie believed that was too hazardous for her young children.
Being creative, Stephanie decided to try to make something more secure. She imagined, created, and made a few samples, tested them, and finally came up with a design that worked. When Stephanie brought her creation to the park and her children were happily using it, the other mothers began asking her where they could buy what she had made at home. That was the beginning of SwingSafe™, a portable, washable back support that easily attaches to swings and helps young children feel and be more secure on a swingset.

The funds raised from this initial campaign, which ends July 6, 2015, will go towards a first commercial production run. The SwingSafe™, has gone through many product design iterations and has been subjected to extensive product testing to create something we parents, and their kids, will really enjoy.
Parents love the SwingSafe™ because it keeps kids safer while still allowing them to build the confidence they need to swing on their own, much like training wheels on a bicycle. Best of all, kids love the SwingSafe™ too! During product testing the kids begged not to remove it when testing was done. After a few swings with the SwingSafe™ attached to their regular swing they were hooked.
The design is finalized, all safety testing approvals have been received, and SwingSafe™ has partnered with a US based manufacturer for the first production run. That's right, SwingSafe™ is Made with Love in the USA. All that's needed now is support.
