Yourwellness Magazine Investigates Dangers of Rapid Weight Loss
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 17 December 2013 -- Fitness coach Dolvett Quince recently appeared on the Dr. Oz Show with the claim that he can help people lose 10 pounds in 21 days, The Examiner reported November 21st. The article, “Dr. Oz and Dolvett Quince dish weight-loss tips for losing 10 pounds fast,” noted that the Biggest Loser coach was promoting his book, The 3-1-2-1 Diet, and told Dr. Oz that a clean diet featuring plenty of high-quality proteins and vegetables is critical for rapid weight loss. Quince commented, ‘Nothing is off-limits. You can still have your favourite foods. Work smarter, not harder.’ (http://www.examiner.com/article/biggest-loser-star-dolvett-quince-shares-weight-loss-tips-with-dr-oz)
However, following on from this, Yourwellness Magazine investigated the dangers of rapid weight loss. Yourwellness Magazine explained, ‘When you want to lose weight, the traditional methods such as following a calorie controlled diet and increasing your fitness can seem tedious. What you really want is to shed lot of pounds in the shortest possible amount of time. Advertisements for miracle diets do not help, as they seem to offer this possibility. In truth, though, if you want to lose weight but not lose your grasp on your wellness and wellbeing, the old methods really are the best.' Yourwellness Magazine pointed out that, despite what the adverts may claim, it is often not possible and definitely not healthy to lost vast amounts of weight in a short period of time. These claims are often made on the back of marketing for dietary supplements or weight loss magazines. Yourwellness Magazine recommended that people should aim for a weight loss of around one or two pounds per week. Although this may not seem like a fast enough rate of weight loss, it’s more sustainable, meaning that more permanent weight loss is possible. Yourwellness Magazine noted that weight that is lost quickly very seldom stays off.
