Youth Brand Bongo Responds to Disgraced UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom Calling Third World Countries "Bongo Bongo Land" With Cheeky New Rap Video
London, England (PRWEB UK) 16 August 2013 -- The world’s largest SMS service Bongo has released their latest video, a rap from Bongo’s resident MC in response to the widely criticised comments from UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom, which the brand see as inappropriate. The rap video hopes to teach the MEP a thing or two, especially relating to his comments referring to third world countries as "Bongo Bongo Land”. The rap opens with the words: “Who’s this Godfrey guy think he is, what the hell is Bongo Bongo land? You been running your mouth...You don't know what u talking about…” The satire rap video aims to cause a stir and go viral so the MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber realises he’s caused genuine offence nationwide.
In a highly controversial political speech last month, the outspoken MEP landed himself in hot water when he suggested foreigners used aid to ‘buy Ray-Ban sunglasses, Ferrari’s’ and ‘apartments in Paris’ with British money. As a political storm grew over the remarks, he initially remained defiant. He insisted he was standing up for “ordinary people” and claimed only people in the “Westminster bubble” would think referring to bongo bongo land was racist. But UKIP leader Nigel Farage ordered him to issue an apology.
Bongo is calling for the UK's younger generation to stand up for their multicultural, multilingual and multi-talented rights by watching and sharing the rap video with their friends and for all the dirt to be dug up on the MEP using their info based text service.
The video from Bongo opens with a mock news anchor who crosses to Westminster to find out what people on the street think, before Bongo's resident MC rapper takes the mic off the reporter and starts his rap. The essence of the rap is Bongo standing up for Bongo Bongo Land. The video is full of action, pranks, jungle characters and London scenes.
