YouTube Star Visits Schools Built in Laos With Pencils of Promise
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 14, 2016 -- YouTube star Lindy Tsang recently traveled to the country of Laos to visit the two schools she helped build through a recent campaign with global education nonprofit Pencils of Promise (PoP). Tsang, also known as Bubzbeauty, has over six million followers across her social media channels and shares inspirational videos about life, beauty and being a millennial mom.
The communities directly impacted by Lindy’s fundraising campaign, Tad Thong Preschool and Primary School and Saen Oudom (Beauty of Knowledge) Primary School, will offer students for the first time a safe and clean space to learn.
PoP Senior Marketing Manager, Carlo Dumandan, shared "Lindy Tsang has been an incredible partner to Pencils of Promise. Because of Lindy's support, two communities in Laos have brand new schools and over 300 students now have access to a quality learning environment."
Lindy has made plans to launch another campaign with PoP in Fall of 2016. “Being able to see one of the schools my community and I built together was one of the most surreal things I have ever experienced,” Lindy Tsang said. “Together, we truly made a difference to the lives of so many children and we won’t stop here!”
PoP was founded in 2008 with the goal of increasing quality education for children in the developing world. Since inception, the organization has built over 300 schools and educated more than 30,000 students.
