Ystrategies Corp. (OTCMKTS: YSTR) Enters Agreement with NREL to Develop Innovative Air Conditioning Approach
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) December 14, 2016 -- Ystrategies Corp. (OTCMKTS: YSTR) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with the Energy Department’s National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) to co-develop NREL’s “EcoSnap™”, a patent pending split system approach to single room air conditioning units.
EcoSnap™ delivers a simple, but revolutionary design. EcoSnap™ splits the air conditioner into two components- one ‘inside’ and one ‘outside’ of the room- which easily connect through the wall. Installation is complete in minutes. With EcoSnap™, customers will no longer need to compromise efficiency, appearance or security using window air conditioners.
NREL’s Jon Winkler co-inventor of EcoSnap™ noted that “EcoSnap™ is much more user friendly than current window and through the wall systems. “We eliminate air conditioners blocking windows, unsightly lines connecting mini-split units and large holes cut into structures for personal and packaged terminal (PTAC) installations.”
Under the Agreement, Ystrategies and NREL are working on product design, development and commercialization strategies. “We are excited to work to commercialize this promising split system approach to air conditioning,” said Chuck Booten, NREL’s Senior Engineer, Residential Building Systems and co-inventor of the design. “Through this partnership, we are committed to delivering this efficient, cost effective new technology and moving to the ‘go-to-market stage’ of our project.”
“The demand for cooling is only going to increase over the next few decades. Efficiency, as well as affordability will be critical,” said Jim Kiles, Chairman & CEO of Ystrategies. “We see EcoSnap™ as an excellent opportunity to launch a business that disrupts the status quo with a positive impact in the marketplace.”
