Yusen Logistics Mexico Transports Penguin Winter Wonderland
Celaya, Mexico (PRWEB) December 17, 2015 -- Penguins at the Guadalajara Zoo are enjoying their new habitat, thanks to the efforts of Yusen Logistics Mexico. The third-party logistics provider, based in Celaya, Mexico, recently delivered the penguin exhibit to the Mexican zoo for Reynolds Polymer Technology Inc. of Grand Junction, CO.
The exhibit houses 12 Adélie penguins that came from the World of Adventures in Wakamaya, Japan. Yusen Logistics Mexico arranged for the transportation of the exhibit’s containment walls from Reynolds’ manufacturing facility in Colorado to Guadalajara. The company managed the U.S./Mexico cross-border process in Laredo, TX, along with the transit.
“It is gratifying to know that our job assists in the preservation of life and dreams of others – especially our feathered friends,” said Rebeca Leyva, Branch Manager Contract Logistics, Mexico Division, who oversaw the project. “This is why, at Yusen Logistics, we are passionate about logistics.”
Reynolds created the custom acrylic panels for the penguin exhibit and installed it at the zoo. “You have done very well for us on this project,” said Mike Nedrow, Supply Chain Director, Reynolds, who added that this is the beginning of a great relationship between the two companies.
The penguins, living in the “Kingdom of Penguins,” are now the most popular attraction at the zoo.
