Yvonne Taylor Transports Readers to WWII-era Norway
Ascona, Switzerland (PRWEB) October 27, 2013 -- Romance, history and espionage collide in Yvonne Taylor’s intriguing new novel, “Norwegian Summers Are Short” (published by AuthorHouse).
“Norway is seldom written about but the Norwegians have developed from an emigrant nation to an immigrant nation in the last 30 years,” Taylor says. “Their suffering in WWII is not often acknowledged. This book will somehow portray the mark of that long, remembered history,”
Taylor’s tale begins in Norway during WWII, when Germans were occupying the region, and follows the adventures of two young Norwegians who survive imprisonment. After the war, one goes on to have a peaceful, successful life, while the other stays mired in pain and feelings of betrayal.
One former prisoner has been betrayed. When the friends’ paths cross once again, a new adventure begins, filled with espionage, romance and drama.
“This book will make people see that our fate can be changed or made,” Taylor explains. “Readers will be curious and provoked as to what to do when these things happen to them in real life.”
