Zahra Universe Creates a ‘Horror Story’ of New Music Video for “Dirty Thoughts Dark”
Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 22, 2014 -- While popular shows with an extra creep-factor like “American Horror Story” and “The Walking Dead” are being idolized around the US, it is not surprising that the horror has crept into the current music scene. Nostalgic horror music videos such as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” are a far scream from this nearly “Oz”-ish throwback video from Zahra Universe for her song “Dirty Thoughts Dark”. With a look of old scratched and discolored film, and a poetic storyline displayed throughout, this new video entitled “The Adventures of Lolly Locket” is reminiscent of the early 1900’s silent film era. Dressed as a little girl’s doll who struggles throughout the story, Zahra Universe demonstrates the challenge and frustration that can be heard in the constant push and pull instrumentation and vocals of her new song. The video was filmed and edited by Thomas Casey.
“Dirty Thoughts Dark” is on the latest album ep by Zahra Universe entitled “Opus Luna I-IV”. Produced by Render the Galaxy, all songs on the album are inspired by the night with darker electronic sounds and haunting melodies. “Opus Luna I-IV” was released in late 2013 and is now available on itunes and most digital music stores. The next music video for the album is a song called “Naked” which is already in post-production and scheduled for release early 2014.
