ZCorum Focusing on New Broadband Diagnostics and PNM Tools at ANGACOM Exhibition
Cologne, Germany (PRWEB) June 04, 2015 -- ZCorum, a leading provider of managed broadband services and diagnostics, announced today that it will be demonstrating three of its newest diagnostic tools, PreEqualization Analyzer, Upstream Analyzer and Remote Spectrum, this week at the 2015 ANGACOM Exhibition and Congress in Cologne, Germany. In 2014 the ANGA COM conference attracted 17,000 trade visitors from 78 countries and over 450 exhibitors from 34 countries.
PreEqualization Analyzer, a Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM) tool, allows operators to find and fix upstream impairments before they impact subscribers. The tool utilizes pre-equalization data from cable modems to identify upstream impairments, including the location and severity of the problem. This insight into the network allows operators to more effectively maintain their HFC networks by knowing where and when to dispatch resources, while benefiting from the improved signal quality inherent in DOCSIS pre-equalization.
Also on display will be Upstream Analyzer a software-based tool for remote return path analysis. This tool is used to replace the costly head-end equipment that is normally used to monitor and troubleshoot upstream issues in the HFC plant.
A downstream spectrum analysis tool, Remote Spectrum, will also be showcased to providers this week. Remote Spectrum leverages the latest chipsets in cable modems and set-top boxes that are able to capture the full spectrum passing through the device. The tool allows operators to analyze all video and data channels passing through a cable modem or set-top box right on a PC or mobile device.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer these tools to DOCSIS internet providers,” said Arthur Skinner, Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development. “It is no secret that cable networks are not self-healing. With these tools and their advanced technology cable internet providers can quickly assess their network on both the upstream and downstream paths, identifying impairments, ingress and other vital data remotely.”
In addition to exhibiting, Skinner will join industry leaders on Thursday's Technology Panel on PNM and Real World Success Stories - Cable Operators and Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM).
“We are so pleased to be exhibiting again at the ANGACOM conference,” said Julie Compann, President and CEO at ZCorum. “We’ve had great response to the new features that have been added to these tools since last year’s show and look forward to demonstrating them here in Cologne.”
ANGACOM 2015 takes place this week, June 9 through 11 at the Koelenmesse Conference Center in Cologne, Germany. ZCorum will be in Hall 10.2 at Stand H30 with Adams Consult GmbH & Co. KG.
