ZCorum Introduces Latest Version of its PreEqualization Analyzer PNM Tool at the NCTC WEC
Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) January 26, 2015 -- ZCorum, an industry leader in the deployment of managed diagnostics tools and software for broadband providers, unveiled version 2.0 of PreEqualization Analyzer today at the NCTC Winter Educational Conference. PreEqualization Analyzer is the company’s DOCSIS proactive network maintenance (PNM) tool. The new release incorporates a new dashboard summary of modem status and overall health for all CMTSs, enhanced correlation features, and the addition of historical RF levels. PreEqualization Analyzer uses the pre-equalization data from cable modems to identify and locate impairments in the upstream cable plant, which allows operators to fix issues before they impact subscribers.
Version 2.0 has an improved correlation algorithm and new features that make it easier for operators to identify subscribers being affected by the same impairment. The new release includes a setting that lets the user control the sensitivity of the correlation algorithm that determines common impairments, and the correlation function now shows modems that are correlated even if they are on different frequencies. In addition, the historical CPE data available in the application now includes RF statistics like transmit power, SNR and codeword errors.
“We've been hearing some great success stories with this product," said Arthur Skinner, Vice President of Worldwide Sales for ZCorum. “Our customers are able to see exactly which devices are being affected by micro-reflections and group delay and can pinpoint the source of the problem to 50 feet or less.”
Skinner added that ZCorum offers a fully functioning 30-day trial of the software, and companies trying out the software also quickly see the value: “When we turn up the tool for a prospect, they immediately see a host of issues in their upstream plant they had no idea were there.”
“This new release demonstrates our commitment to improving tools for the broadband community, as well as a deep understanding of our customers’ needs,” said Julie Compann, President and CEO of ZCorum. “Many of these enhancements are the result of feedback from our customers. We’re working to ensure that providers have the most effective diagnostics tools available so they can focus on what matters most— keeping their operation running smoothly and their subscribers happy.”
ZCorum will be highlighting the new features of the product during the conference this week in Booth 400 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. Broadband providers interested in getting started immediately with PreEqualization 2.0 can sign up for a free trial here or see a demo at the NCTC Winter Education Conference show beginning today.
