ZCorum Webinar to Focus on Finding and Managing Ingress with Remote Return Path Analysis
Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) February 10, 2015 -- ZCorum, an industry leader in the deployment of managed diagnostics tools and software for cable, telco, wireless and fiber providers, will be conducting a technology webinar for the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) on the subject of Remote Return Path Analysis - Leveraging Your CMTS for Upstream Spectrum Analysis. The webinar will focus on managing ingress and noise by analyzing the upstream spectrum path in DOCSIS networks.
ZCorum officers, Scott Helms, Vice President of Technology, and Rick Yuzzi, Vice President of Marketing, will examine the advantages cable operators can see by analyzing noise in return path as part of their overall strategy for network management.
When asked how noise affects the subscriber Helms explained, “In some cases as noise levels get worse in the upstream path, there will be visible degrading of the picture quality or slow Internet. Unfortunately in some cases of high levels of ingress it may not even be noticed by the subscriber until it completely destroys communications or drastically slows down network performance. This is why analyzing noise in the spectrum and under the DOCSIS carrier is so crucial.”
The upcoming Webinar, which is open to all NCTC members will take place on Thursday, February 12th beginning at 4:00 p.m. Eastern time and will be followed by a Q&A session. NCTC members can contact the NCTC for registration information.
