Ziegler Hires New Religion Finance Investment Banker - Bill Dodson Joins Firm in Orange County, CA Office
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 22, 2014 -- Ziegler, an investment bank and full service brokerage firm, has hired Bill Dodson as a senior vice president in its religion finance practice in the Orange County, CA office.
Mr. Dodson brings over 14 years of church and not-for-profit financing experience in which he has directly managed the origination, distribution or funding of hundreds of millions of dollars in church financing instruments for ministries nationwide, including taxable church bonds, direct loans, and loan participations. He will serve as a lead banker for many of the firm’s transactions, underwriting and structuring taxable bonds issued by churches, schools, and not-for-profit organizations.
Prior to joining Ziegler, Mr. Dodson served as president and chief executive officer of a California-based credit union service organization providing financing to churches and ministries nationwide. Before that assignment, he led the retail brokerage team for a California investment bank, supervising the distribution of as much as $175 million in church bonds annually to the firm’s clients. He had also previously served as a Southern Baptist minister for seven years at churches in Fort Worth, Texas and Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Dodson received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and later earned his Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He is also a graduate of the SIFMA Securities Industry Institute at The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) and the Wharton/SIA Branch Management Leadership Institute.
