Zine Recognizes 11 Local Businesses at Teesdale Business Awards
County Durham, England (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- Zine UK, a web design agency with a national client base, recently organised an awards ceremony that acknowledged hundreds of outstanding businesses in its local community. The Teesdale Business Awards, held on Friday, 15th November, at The Witham, Barnard Castle, is a prime example of how Zine makes an effort to be an active part of the Teesdale business community.
This was the third year for the awards ceremony, which features hundreds of nominees in nine different categories. Zine conceptualised the idea and helps organise it each year, releasing the names of nominees in late October and distributing awards at the ceremony.
"We are constantly inspired by the efforts of the many other great businesses in the Teesdale area," says Zine’s Managing Director Alan Bradley. "We have offices throughout the country, but having our head office located in such a thriving business community provides a great opportunity for networking with other experienced professionals."
This year, Reality Studios won Best Business in Teesdale. Reality Studios is an entertainment company that specialises in developing children’s cartoon series, games and books. The awards' judging panel of experts chose Mountain Explorers as Best New Business in Teesdale and Animate Animal Minding won the award for fastest-growing business.
Winners were chosen based on various criteria relevant to their awards, such as their innovative approaches to meeting consumer demand. Enthusiasm and tenacity were taken into consideration as well. This year’s nominations were packed with impressive candidates, making the judges’ task of selecting winners more difficult than ever.
Sponsors for the event included a 'who’s who' of Teesdale businesses, including Banks Renewables, GlaxoSmithKline, 2D and Butler & Gee Accountants. The network of local sponsors provides a great opportunity for the Teesdale business community to become stronger through supporting each other.
The Teesdale Business Awards is a not-for-profit event, with all proceeds from ticket sales put into the event itself. This year, local chefs were added to the event, giving them the opportunity to showcase their cuisine. Previous winners of Teesdale Business Awards report a noticeable increase in public awareness of their local businesses due to the exposure the awards gives each of its nominees and winners.
Zine provides website design services to businesses of all sizes, providing the latest features.
