ZNetLive Implements GlobalSign’s Automated CloudSSL Solutions to Secure More Shared Hosting Customers, More Cost-Effectively

Traditionally, SSL Certificates, which provide identity verification and encryption, have required a dedicated IP address, making it difficult for hosting companies to respond to growing requirements for SSL security. Faced with the decreasing availability of IPv4 addresses, ZNetLive leveraged GlobalSign’s latest technology to capitalize on the increasing demand, while lowering the cost of SSL Certificates for its customers by running multiple certificates on a single IP address, at no detriment to security or browser and operating system compatibility.

By leveraging the SNI technology, each website hosted on the shared IP can now have its own SSL Certificate, from basic Domain Validated to the most advanced Extended Validation Certificates. Each domain is then also added to a fall-back multi domain CloudSSL Certificate to enable full compatibility with older systems. After a one-time configuration, the process is fully automated by a GlobalSign application which creates, installs, validates and updates the CloudSSL Certificate as new websites need to be added or removed.
