Zurich North America joins Ellevate Network to expand professional development resources for Zurich employees
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (PRWEB) June 05, 2018 -- Zurich North America has joined the Ellevate Network, a leading network for professional women. The move expands the professional development resources available to Zurich employees through the global insurer’s Women’s Innovation Network (WIN), a Zurich employee resource group. Open to all employees, WIN aims to support gender equity at Zurich by providing a professional network for inspiration, development and connecting with colleagues.
The move is aligned with Zurich’s position that diversity and inclusion is vital to its business. The company is committed to creating a workplace environment that nurtures its people and sees the value that diverse and inclusive teams bring to its organization and the insurance industry.

As part of the new relationship with Ellevate, Zurich has initially chosen 50 employees to receive a Zurich-funded Ellevate membership. The 50 employees were chosen in recognition of their contributions to WIN, as well as to Zurich. The benefits of this membership include but are not limited to:
• Local Networking Events including workshops to develop leadership, management, and business skills as well as mentoring meet-ups with women to share experiences and advice;
• Professional Development Resource Library with access to articles, webinars, podcasts, videos, and livestream events;
• Intentional Networking with like-minded women at the same stage of their career and customized by industry, affinity group, location, school, company and job. In addition, each will have the ability to join a “squad” which is a mastermind group of women at the same stage of their career; and
• Thought Leadership including learning how to position oneself as a thought leader by writing articles for Ellevate or other publications.
In addition to providing memberships for 50 employees, the Ellevate Network provides a number of resources for all Zurich employees. Various webcasts and in-person events and programs will be open to all employees to attend, helping foster further inclusion and development.
WIN is focused on creating insights into business success while providing networking opportunities with accomplished colleagues and industry experts. While women are the main audience, men are also welcome to get involved, as many issues affect both. The group is open to all current Zurich employees.
