Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty Expands with Acquisition of Ocean Realty
(PRWEB) January 15, 2016 -- Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty, of Kitty Hawk, N.C., today announced the acquisition of Ocean Realty to expand the Coldwell Banker brand and the company’s presence and exposure on the Outer Banks. This is the third acquisition by Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty since joining the Coldwell Banker system in 2000.
The Ocean Realty office, located at 2503 N. Croatan Highway, Kill Devil Hills, N.C., will be the third Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty office; in addition to its Kitty Hawk location, the company also has an office in Elizabeth City, N.C. The acquisition of Ocean Realty brings Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty’s current number of sales associates to 48. The companies’ combined size makes Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty—which recently celebrated 25 years in business—the largest real estate company on the Outer Banks.
“Ocean Realty is a great company with solid leadership and seasoned, professional brokers,” said Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty President Gordon Jones. “We felt that Ocean Realty would be a great fit with our culture, values and vision to be the best real estate services company in the region. Growth brings opportunities for all members of the team. It allows us to provide our clients, brokers and employees more tools and benefits. Ocean Realty is a team of dedicated professionals who put their clients first. As such, Ocean Realty was a perfect fit with our plans for growth.”
In addition to serving as president of Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty, Jones also serves as President of its sister company, Seaside Vacations, which he founded in 1990. He is past president of the North Carolina Vacation Rental Managers Association, past board member of the Outer Banks Association of Realtors and a founding board member of the Outer Banks Community Development Committee, an organization that develops affordable housing and provides housing and asset building services to residents of northeastern North Carolina.
Ocean Realty (formerly Re/Max Ocean Realty) has served the Outer Banks area since 1989 and will now offer clients products and services exclusive to the Coldwell Banker system.
Ocean Realty owner/broker David Perrot has lived on the Outer Banks since 1978 and began his real estate career in July 1980, at the age of 26. He was employed by Sun Realty in Kill Devil Hills in 1982, and five years later he co-founded Resort Realty, where he served as the company’s president for 20 years. Perrot joined the former Re/Max Ocean Realty (currently known as Ocean Realty) in 2007 and purchased the company in 2009.
Perrot has held numerous positions in the Outer Banks Association of Realtors, including Realtor of the Year in 1985 and president in 1988. He recently completed his third-year term as regional vice president for the North Carolina Association of Realtors, Region 1, and he holds the designations of ABRM, CDPE, CRB, CRS, GRI and SFR. Once the acquisition is complete, Perrot will serve as managing broker at Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty.
“Throughout my career, there are very few real estate scenarios that I haven’t been exposed to,” said Perrot. “As the managing broker of the Kill Devil Hills office, part of my responsibilities will be to put my experience into action for the benefit of all of the agents with Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty. Together, our combined team will be the place consumers of Outer Banks real estate will continue to find ‘the best in service.’ I am looking forward to this new chapter in my work life, and I’m proud to be affiliating with Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty.”
“David has a solid reputation in our area and is very well respected,” said Coldwell Banker Seaside Realty Vice President Pamela Smith. “He has embraced the Coldwell Banker brand and all that it has to offer to both our agents and, most importantly, our clients. He will be instrumental in recruiting agents to join our newly expanded firm. I am looking forward to working with David and, together along with Gordon, forming the best management team in northeast North Carolina.”
Jones, Smith and Perrot have a combined 80 years of real estate management experience.
